About Me
I moved from London to Brighton in 2009, wanting our children to grow up somewhere open-minded and LGBTQI+ friendly. This year, Kate & I got married (woohoo!). We share our home with our 20-year-old twins, and now our two rescued street dogs from North Macedonia who have taken us on quite an adventure over the last year!
My own path has been varied. In my twenties I lived in Martinique, Grenada and Egypt, experiences that broadened my understanding of different cultures. I later spent twenty years as a social worker, including managing frontline social work teams and mental health services across Brighton & Hove.
The values that shaped that work remain at the heart of how I meet people now: respecting each person and their unique story, listening without judgement, supporting choice and empowerment, and working inclusively with an awareness of inequality and oppression.

Menopause has been another profound journey for me. It has been tough at times, but I have come to see this stage of life as an invitation: to let go of what no longer serves us, listen more deeply to ourselves and grow into the fullness of who we are.
The things I value most are family, friendship, our beloved pets, compassion, freedom from stuck patterns, and a connection with the sacred. I’m happiest walking somewhere wild, learning the names of wildflowers, foraging, connecting with trees, and sleeping beneath the stars without a tent.
My first experience of reiki was in my 30s and afterwards I felt so uplifted, full of peace and love. Reiki gives me the same sense of awe and connectedness that I experience in nature.
I trained as a Reiki Practitioner seven years ago, at the same time as leaning deeply into shamanic practices. I feel wonder and reverence every time I give myself or other people reiki. For me it is a sacred practice where I step us both into the spirit world and ask the divine beings for healing. I never cease to marvel at the way that things then shift!

I first discovered The Journey when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. It was both an inspiration and a deep source of strength & healing, as I found new ways of navigating life and came into a place of such good health.
Since then, giving and receiving Journey processes has become an integral part of my life. It has shown me that life-changing transformation really is possible in all areas of life – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. By uncovering and releasing the emotional roots of long-held patterns and traumas, I have found greater freedom, love, peace and joy than I ever thought possible. It all inspired me to train as a Journey Practitioner so I could share this extraordinary work with others.
I absolutely love this work! If you'd like to learn more about it, and talk about how it can help you, please book in for a free discovery call.
